Muneaki Tsuda—piano, violin and composition

  Born in the United States, Muneaki grew up in Japan, US and Australia. He began to take piano lesson at age 5 and violin lesson at age 12. In Melbourne, Australia, he met Rodney Ford, an inspirational organist and his school music director who was educated in Royal College of Music, London; and Yoko Uehara, a pianist who studied under Lev Vlasenko, a professor at Moscow Conservatoire. After seriously undertaking music studies in piano and composition, Muneaki entered Tokyo College of Music, majoring in composition. He had studied with Akira Nishimura and Sunao Isaji.

  After graduation, he was active in compositional output and also performed his own works as well as classical repertoires. Besides regularly organizing concerts in concert halls and other venues, he has also performed in senior facilities, schools and churches. In 2019 he began his study in social work and obtained the Japanese national qualification in social work. In 2023 he founded Tsuda International Music School where he mainly teaches the piano.
